Message From Leeds Teaching Hospital Blood Results May 2025 – Patient Information

Starting the week of Monday 19 May, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will be upgrading its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This is the software that manages pathology test requests from hospital staff and GPs.

While they carry out this essential update, there may be temporary delays in processing some non-urgent test results. Urgent samples will be prioritised, which may mean GP practice samples take a little longer than usual to be processed.

The new LIMS will help improve the way we handle samples — from booking them in, to analysing them, to reporting results. We appreciate your patience during this transition and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
