Rothwell and District Live at Home Scheme

Rothwell Live at Home works to reduce isolation and promote independence for anyone 60 and over in the Rothwell area, they provide a variety of activities and support within your community.

Membership of the Live at Home Scheme is free, visit Rothwell and District Live at Home to view the services and activities offered.

Acorn and Oak - This Green Moon, Swillington

Acorn and Oak is a powerful session that brings together young and old. They work with Rothwell and District Live at Home Scheme to bring together the older generation with some of our very own tree nippers and the results are truly phenomenal. The session runs monthly to find out more about this session and other events that are available visit the Green Moon website.

Every Monday - Care N Hounds Cafe runs 2pm-4pm at the Black Bull, Rothwell

Every Tuesday - Buddies at the Bull runs 2pm-4pm at the Black Bull, Rothwell

Last Wednesday of the month - Rothwell Dementia Carers Support Group 10.30am-12pm at the Black Bull, Rothwell

Third Thursday of the month - Cosy Corner Memory Cafe 2pm-3.30pm at Woodlesford Methodist Church Hall

First Saturday of the month - Tea Cosy Memory Cafe 9.30am-12.30pm at Rothwell Parish Centre

Garforth Neighbourhood Elders Team, Community Physiotherapy Drop in service

Thursday 10.30am to 12.30pm, Dover Street, Garforth, Leeds LS25 5LP

The aims of the service are:

  • Signposting to appropriate exercise classes / activity groups within the local area to promote activity particuarlaly within the elderly population or people living with long term conditions
  • Provide people with individual personalised exercise plans to address weakness / aches and pains / poor balance
  • Have a pro-active approach to your health management
