This is a national NHS campaign and resource. Every Mind Matters is available to everyone as a way to help manage and maintain mental health. Everyone goes through ups and downs so this resource gives you practical advice on how to deal with stress & anxiety, low mood, sleep deprivation  or oversleeping and many other mental health concerns.

Live Well Leeds

A mental health service for anyone over 18 years old, registered with a Leeds GP and in need of mental health support. They offer support such as Café and drop in groups, health and wellbeing activities, leisure and social activities, supported access to agencies such as debt advice and housing, peer support and much more. Leeds IAPT/Omnitherapy

You don’t have to have an assessment before using their service. if you are over 17 and feeling low or need help    with the vast array of mental health concerns we face in daily life, just head over to their website and find the right course for you.

Mindwell Leeds

This service is for anyone in the Leeds area. They aim to provide information about support and services available in Leeds. They have information on a range of common mental health issues such as anxiety and stress, self-help resources, information on what to do in a mental health emergency or crisis, support on housing and money worries as well as help for carers and new or expectant parents.

The Market Place

Tailored for young people ages 11-25 years old

The Market Place offers information and support on any issue affecting young people. There are a range of services including one to one support, counselling, group-work and a drop-in service.

Bereavement Support Services

Child Bereavement

Child Bereavement UK support families both when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, and when a child is facing bereavement.

OWLS Bereavement

Overcoming Worry, Loss and Sadness – supports children aged 4-11 and their families living in Leeds.

OWLS can help in a number of ways, including offering practical and emotional support, direct 1-2-1 therapy, schools workshops and peer activity days where affected children and their families can get together to share experiences and support each other.

Leeds Suicide Bereavement Service

Providing compassionate support for people who are bereaved.  Has someone you cared about ended their own life?  You are not alone.  Leeds City council has provided funding for a suicide bereavement service.  The service is run by Leeds Mind and Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service.  You can access support as an individual, family or workplace.  They can offer help whether you were affected by a suicide that was a few days, weeks or decades ago.  They offer support whoever you have lost – this may be a parent, child, partner, sibling, other relative, friend or a work colleague.

Carers Leeds

The home of support for all unpaid carers in Leeds.  If you are helping a friend or family member due to their illness, disability, mental health issue or substance misuse problem, Carers Leeds are there to support you take a look at the services they offer.

To ensure that we know that you are a Carer please call into surgery and complete the Yellow Card Referral form available from Reception.

Forward Leeds is the alcohol and drug service in Leeds for adults, young people and families.

Forward Leeds support people to achieve and sustain recovery from alcohol and drug misuse through a range of treatments. As Forward Leeds is a single organisation offering a complete choice of services they are able to provide help to anyone no matter how simple or complex their needs.

Active Leeds

Active Leeds Health Programmes can support people to become more active or manage their health conditions. The Active Leeds website has a range of different opportunities available.

You can complete a Self-Referral which is suitable for people that have controlled health conditions that can be managed through being more active. The types of conditions include;

  • Peripheral vascular disease 
  • Type 1 and type 2 diabetes 
  • Cancer 
  • Mobility concerns and has a fear of falling 
  • Mild COPD / asthma 
  • Musculoskeletal issues

Linking Leeds – The Integrated Social Prescribing Service in Leeds

Linking Leeds aims to connect you to relevant services in your area which will benefit your overall health and wellbeing.

Their friendly Wellbeing Co-ordinators will work closely with you to understand your needs and will then help you to access relevant services and groups in your community.

Northern Gambling Service

Providing specialist addiction therapy and recover to people affected by gambling addiction, as well as thowe with mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicidal feelings.  Northern Gambling Service also provide intervention to people close to those with gambling addiction, such as family, partners and carers.
